This parquet wood floor in Rhyl was totally refurbished. The oak blocks were uplifted, cleaned and set aside. A plywood subfloor was laid and the parquet wood blocks were reinstated using bona flooring adhesives. The floor sanding team were then set to work sanding and sealing the newly laid parquet floor. Once the block flooring was sanded & lacquered the oak wood blocks looked fantastic again. Amazing was the verdict of the caretaker. The job was carried out on behalf of the local council, who initially had requested removal of the original parquet flooring, believing it to be past its best. They were prepared to lay an inferior oak plank before taking our advice to sand and seal the existing wooden flooring. The people of Rhyl using this facility wanted to retain the original oak blocks.
